Circle Time is done every morning and is where we all gather together for various activities, including songs, stories, and group discussions. It serves as a valuable opportunity for socialization, language development, and learning essential classroom routines. During circle time, our students will build a sense of community, develop listening skills, and engage in shared experiences that lay the groundwork for a positive and collaborative learning environment.
Our dramatic play center is one of our students favorites! We rotate our themes depending on the focus of the month's lessons. By stepping into different roles and scenarios, young learners develop empathy, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. The variety of themes stimulates curiosity and keeps the play experience fresh and engaging, fostering creativity and social interaction.
Our fenced in outdoor playground is one of our most used areas at Busy Bee Preschool. All playground equipment is designed for children ages 3-6 years old and follows all safety regulations for safe play and MT state licensing requirements.
Our magnetic board is a versatile tool for interactive learning and creative expression. It gives our students the opportunity to explore shapes, letters, numbers, and even storytelling through the manipulation of magnetic pieces, fostering cognitive development and fine motor skills.
Our students have access to our sensory table everyday. It offers invaluable opportunities for hands-on exploration and sensory stimulation. Through activities like pouring, scooping, and feeling different textures, our students will develop fine motor skills, stimulate their senses, and enhance cognitive understanding.
We love what our students create in our building center. It provides a dynamic environment where children can unleash their creativity and develop essential spatial and problem-solving skills. Through the use of blocks and other loose building materials, young learners engage in imaginative play, constructing structures, and exploring architectural concepts. This hands-on activity encourages collaboration, experimentation, and perseverance, laying the foundation for future STEM learning and fostering a love for discovery and innovation!
Our students mailboxes and arrival question/activity is also located near our classroom door for easy access to start their day.
Students have access to our art center all day. It is a vibrant hub where children can express themselves freely through various artistic mediums. By engaging in activities such as painting, drawing, and stamping, young learners not only develop fine motor skills but also explore colors, shapes, and textures, nurturing their creativity and self-expression. We rotate art materials depending on the the lessons theme we are learning.
Our classroom library is forever growing and changing. Our books rotate with our month's lesson focus and as new concepts are being introduced. As children explore books aligned with classroom topics, they deepen their understanding and curiosity about the world around them. This curated selection fosters a love for reading, supports language development, and enhances the connection between classroom lessons and real-world applications.
Our Group Lesson Table serves as a focal point for interactive instruction, fostering collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills for our students. Through group lessons, Our students engage in shared experiences, participate in discussions, and receive direct instruction tailored to their developmental needs, laying a solid foundation for academic and social growth in a supportive classroom environment. Everyone learns at their own pace and we encourage students to watch and learn, while also helping their classmates around them.
Our Literacy Center gives our students a chance to practice their fine motor skills with hands-on activities. Through books, puzzles, letter and word games, and interactive storytelling, young learners explore language in a hands-on and engaging manner. The literacy center encourages phonemic awareness, vocabulary development, and comprehension skills, fostering a love for reading and setting the stage for lifelong learning.
Our discovery center gives our students the opportunity to touch, examine and take a closer look at different types of materials and objects. Through interactive exhibits, hands-on experiments, and guided inquiry, children delve into the wonders of science, nature, and the world around them
